Ecotex is a fabric that is made from 100% recycled water bottles that has been designed & developed by Heys International. With every kilogram of Ecotex® fabric produced we are conserving 1 gallon of gasoline, which is the energy equivalent of turning off 500 light bulbs ( 60 watt ) for 1 day. We are saving 120,000 kilojoules of energy with every kilogram of Ecotex® fabric produced and sold.

While Ecotex® saves energy and natural resources, standard Polyester instead has a heavy carbon footprint as it originates from Crude Oil. While EcoTex® is made entirely without drilling for oil, refining oil, transporting oil , or blending oil with other chemicals.

Ecotex® sets a new standard for environmentally friendly products as it not only saves resources, energy and the environment as a whole – but Independent lab tests show that EcoTex® is in fact more durable and resilient than standard polyester. The International Organization for Standardization - ISO 13934-1:1999 Tensile Strength Test shows Ecotex® to be 46% stronger in the warp tensile strength test and 97% stronger in the weft tensile strength test.

As an individual, by purchasing Heys Ecotex® products you are reducing your OWN carbon footprint as well as furthering support for future sustainable products and materials.
